CalvinShetland Pony4GeldingRideable, small children only, possible driving

Calvin & Hobbes were abandoned and came together to HPL. These adorable ponies have come a long way since the spring when it took 45 minutes to catch and halter them! They now willingly approach volunteers and are easily haltered. Both ponies are green-broke, saddle-gentled and ridden in arena by direct rein. Calvin & Hobbes still have a long way to go, but for the right trainer, we believe they would make excellent workers. Adoption fee $300.00.

BobbyThoroughbred12GeldingRideable

Bobby is a dark bay that stands 16 HH. He sports a powerful trot and beautiful canter, and loves long grooming sessions. Bobby has a willing personality and is considered rideable with limitations. He’s under chiropractic and veterinary care for back problems and is, as of now, suitable for light work. With regular adjustments, his chiropractor feels he may eventually be put in full training, even show. Bobby needs an intermediate to advanced rider. Adoption fee $600.00.

JetArabian13GeldingRideable

Jet is a gorgeous Polish Arabian with an incredible pedigree. He has an excellent, smooth jog and performs well at Western pleasure. He is prone to spook and balk under English tack. We would like to see him go to someone who will use all his untapped potential! He’s not finished, so he needs at least an intermediate rider, preferably either with training experience or working with a professional. Adoption fee $900.00.

Mariner is nearly 17 HH, a flea-bitten gray and a big favorite at HPL. Due to a jumping accident, Mariner cannot be ridden. Adoption fee $300.00. Mariner could really benefit from sponsors and visitors. Our companion animals are least likely to be adopted and, therefore, need your help the most.
