Open Volunteer Days
We always need volunteers! Our Open Volunteer days are on Wednesdays from 9 am to 12 pm
and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. Here’s what we do:
- Muck stalls
- Fill and clean water tanks
- Groom horses
- Barn maintenance
Volunteering at HPL will give you basic hands-on experience into the world of horses. To volunteer at the barn, you must be 16 years of age (or accompanied by a parent or guardian) and, for insurance purposes, become a member of HPL (basic membership starts at $20). Come on out to the barn either day, fill out the necessary paperwork and we’ll get you started.
Club Community Service Days
Do you belong to 4H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts or other organization and need to earn hours towards community service? HPL will help organize a special volunteer day for your organization where all attending members get credit.
Do You Have Special Talents?
Would you like to volunteer in a specific area? We need help in:
- Barn improvements
- Grounds and yard maintenance
- Hauling feed, etc. (must have own vehicle)
- Trade show staffing
- Volunteer contact
- Special event planning
- Fundraising
- Marketing support
For all volunteer questions, please contact Emie O’Neill at (303) 278-3804.
